Solidarity’s action plans
Solidarity Action Plan 1: Solidarity will continue to act as a watchdog over the implementation of racial classification, and will submit a follow up report to the UN on the South African government’s progress to meet international conventions and guidelines.
Solidarity Action Plan 2: Solidarity will continue to file complaints internationally, while locally it will embark on litigation until the South African government complies with the UN’s recommendations.
Solidarity Action Plan 3: Solidarity and AfriForum will engage with the South African government to be party to the revision of their plans, as requested by the UN.
Solidarity Action Plan 4: Solidarity will hold a conference on affirmative action at which various prominent players will be speaking. This conference will serve as an input process for proposals which we will process for submission to the South African government.
Solidarity Action Plan 5: Solidarity will compile its own report with input on current affirmative action policies and legislation, and how such should be implemented. This report will be submitted to the South African government. However, this is not where Solidarity’s action plans and responsibility will stop.
