Solidarity puts foot down on selective racism – The time has come for us to stand together
Solidarity needs the support of 200 000 people to enable it to lodge a complaint nationally and internationally, and you are one of the 200 000.
In February, Solidarity launched a mass campaign on selective racism and against racial bullying. A collective complaint dealing with this phenomenon, which will be lodged with the South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC), forms part of the campaign. The collective complaint will also quash the notion that only white people are racist, and the SAHRC will also be requested to express an will also be requested to take a stand in this regard.
The complaint will show that, as far as racism is concerned, different standards apply to different groups, and that politicians and government officials are the main instigators when it comes to selective racism. It is people in positions of power who are influencing the masses. What we see on social media is the result of the elite that is rather remiss about race. The political elite must be measured by a tougher measure. We cannot accept this imbalance because it is not how a sound community functions.
Support Solidarity’s collective complaint now and let your voice be heard!
